This lamp is more than just a light—it's a sculpture in motion, frozen mid-flight. It was made to resemble the iconic P-51 Mustang, a symbol of speed, strength, and classic aviation history.

The body of the aircraft is a refined composition of maple, sandwiched between rich walnut, giving it both structure and depth. The wings extend outward in smooth walnut, with grapefruit wood ailerons adding contrast and character. Beneath the wings, red cedar lends a subtle warmth, almost like the softened underside of a bird in flight.

An opening was carefully crafted beneath the cockpit to house a warm, amber light—just bright enough to read by, yet soft enough not to overpower. The light also glows through the bubble canopy, casting a gentle ambient hue that fills the room with a calm, atmospheric charm. The cone of the propeller, the exhaust stacks on the fuselage, and the stand itself are all made from padauk—a wood that’s as fiery and bold as the dream behind the build. The stand rises in a clean, angular line, like a runway lifting the plane into memory.
